The Cisco Catalyst C9200 is the current generation Cisco access switch platform, replacing the older 2960 and 3650 families with improved performance, security and software support. This 24 port PoE Plus model includes 4 dedicated Gigabit SFP uplink ports, keeping uplink bandwidth separate from the access ports used for phones, access points and computers. Running Cisco IOS XE, it benefits from ongoing feature updates and longer term support than older IOS based switches, and supports StackWise stacking for networks that need to grow without adding switch management complexity. Antofity Concepts recommends the C9200 range for organisations in Kenya standardising on a current generation Cisco platform for new deployments.
