The Cisco Catalyst 2960-X is the next generation after the 2960-S, bringing improved switching performance, better power efficiency and FlexStack Plus stacking to the same familiar 48 port PoE form factor. It adds Layer 3 lite routing features on top of core Layer 2 switching, giving a bit more flexibility for networks that need basic routing between VLANs without a full Layer 3 switch. The larger PoE budget and Gigabit throughput make it well suited to offices standardising on Cisco access switches for phones, access points and cameras across many ports. Antofity Concepts supplies the 2960-X 48 Port PoE Switch for organisations in Kenya upgrading from older 2960 or 2960-S switches to a more capable, more efficient platform.
