The Cisco Catalyst 2960-XR builds on the 2960-X platform with fuller Layer 3 routing support, useful for smaller sites that need some inter VLAN routing or basic dynamic routing without deploying a separate router. With 24 PoE ports and Gigabit speed it suits a medium sized office or branch site running IP phones and wireless access points alongside standard data devices. FlexStack Plus stacking allows it to be combined with other 2960-X or 2960-XR switches for a larger, more resilient access layer as a site grows. Antofity Concepts fits the 2960-XR 24 Port PoE Switch where a branch office or medium site needs PoE together with more routing capability than a plain Layer 2 switch offers.
