The Cisco Catalyst 3560X is a Layer 3 switch built for the distribution layer of a campus network, combining 48 PoE Plus ports with full routing capability rather than the Layer 2 or Layer 3 lite feature set found on access switches. That makes it a good fit for a site that wants to bring routing, VLANs and PoE together on a single switch rather than running a separate router. Modular uplink options let it take fiber or higher speed copper uplinks depending on how the rest of the network is built. Antofity Concepts supplies the 3560X 48 Port PoE Plus Switch for schools, offices and campuses in Kenya that need a capable distribution layer switch with a generous PoE budget.
